Choosing A Paintball Marker
Today, I’m going to talk about the most valuable paintball equipment to a paintball baller, this is the paintball marker. Paintball markers are the tools used by the players to hit each other: but unlike real guns or toy guns, paintball guns make use of paint balls. These are small balls are known as “gelatin capsules” that contain paint. So it won’t kill you if you get shot by one.
To have “safe” paintball equipment, paintball markers are regulated so that the speed of the paintball won’t seriously hurt you or an opponent. This means that in order to avoid serious injury or problems, paintball markers should fire a paintball at an average speed of 300 feet (or lower) per second. At this rate of speed, serious injuries will reduce or be avoided. Too much speed on paintball markers and paintballs can cause injuries to the eyes, ears, or the one I hate the most the neck. Even with the use of safety it is still absolutely necessary for the players to wear mask or any “head protection”.
NOW on to the good stuff choosing the right paintball marker for the player, it is important to consider the level of expertise of the player. If the player is a newbie, it is important to use a paintball marker fit for basic operations; then as the player advances in his skills he can choose markers that are appropriate for higher level of action. If you are just staring out in speedball, you might just want to go with a cheaper electronically gun like a smart parts ion, invert mini, or maybe even a proto matrix rail (PMR). These are some of the basic markers that newbies purchase. Now, if you’re a serious player and have a little bit more money on the side, and want to buy a high-end marker. Then Eclipse egos, Proto matrix, Bob Long, or even DLX technology. Really it just depends on what your personally taste is.
It is also important to consider the kind of position the player performs in the game. For instance, front line players should use paintball markers that have a smaller tank. This makes the markers lighter so they increase the player’s pace in the game. If you’re a mid or back you might need a marker that has a long and accurate barrel since, you will being spraying a lot of paint to your opponents to keep them bunkered down.
The main thing in paintball is too have fun. Yes, I know it gets intense sometimes when you’re playing, but just remember it’s just a game. Also the marker doesn’t make the player, if you go out and buy a DLX LUXE for around $1500 it won’t make you play better; you have to have some skill to play paintball.
What Kind Of Paintball Equipment Do I Need?
Paintball is one of these fastest growing sports out there, but paintball is a very risky sport out there unless; you have the proper paintball equipment. Paintball equipment is a key essential for protecting yourself in this sport. The use of proper paintball equipment has earned paintball an excellent reputation for being a safe sport, this is better than football or hockey were these sports are the two rougher sports people play.
For people to play this game, it is required that a player wear safety gear at all times. The bare minimum paintball equipment you would need if you wanted to play a game of paintball would just be a pair of goggles, protecting the eyes and a gun that shoots no greater than 300 feet per second, but I would recommend it. When I play a game my paintball equipment consists of a mask, gloves, cleats, paintball pants, jersey, neck protector and knee pads.
Paintball equipment varies in prices; a mask may cost from $20-$90. Since it fogs up due to perspiration, dirt, or paint it would be a good idea to buy a cleaning solution and anti-fog spray as well. Cleats are a really good pick no matter what kind of paintball game you play either scenario or speedball, and they vary from $25-$110. Some other paintball equipment that would be useful for a player is paintball pants and a jersey. If you don’t want to pay the big bucks for pants and a jersey, just wear a loose shirt (1 or 2 sizes bigger than normal) and some baggy jeans. Some of the other paintball equipment people use like gloves, chest protectors, and pads are just personal preference.
It is a good idea to buy a loader that will save time when it is time to reload. Loaders hold 20 balls to 210 balls. Your more expensive loaders are your electronic loaders. This is where the loaders force the balls into the marker. Now if you’re just starting out get a gravity feed loader, now it won’t go as fast as others, but it does the same kind of work.
WOW I almost forgot about key paintball equipment, this being the air tank. Air tanks vary in prices from $40 to about $250. What air tank is right for you? The main difference is steel tanks and carbon fiber tanks, Carbon fiber being lighter of the two. If you don’t have an electrical marker you can use a co2 tank and be fine, but if you’re the guy that bought an electrical marker DO NOT ever ever ever use a co2 tank on it. This will freeze up the internals and tear up the marker. Electronic markers will need to take a HPA or a LPA depending on what the manual calls for.
The most important paintball equipment needed for battle is the player’s marker. The prices of these guns run from $100 to more than a $1,000 depending on the features of the gun. Most of these are semi-automatic and can hold several paintballs before being reloaded. Now if you’re a beginner player you don’t need to go out and buy the $1200 gun, make sure you like the sport first.
Now were at the part were paintball fields make there money. You have your marker, gear and now you need your paintballs. These come in different colors and ranges in price from $24- $60. A box contains 2000 rounds - more than enough for one game. The player can also buy grenades to be used against the opponent for almost the same price.
Paintball as some would say is “better than the real thing”. This thrilling sport keeps the heart pounding and the adrenaline going. Should the person be interested in this game, the first thing that needs to be done is getting the right paintball equipment from the shop and learning the rules.
After briefing, it is time to suit up, lock and load, and get ready to be in the combat zone.
Change Change Change
Alright people I had to change some things on this website. The name being one of them. Other stuff I will be changing will be the content going up on the website. I will be talking more about Paintball equipment, Paintball supplies, Paintball accessories, or in other words anything paintball. I will also be reviewing new paintball products on the market. I am not going to give you one of those crappy reviews were I like everything. The reviews will be very honest. Now don’t worry I’m not getting rid of any of my original content, that I have posted. I am not totally going to stop posting about affiliate marketing. I am just going to take a different angle of approach on my website.
Now I bet everyone is wondering, why change your website when you got the affiliate marketing blog working well for you? The main reason I switched my content from affiliate marketing to reviewing paintball equipment is paintball is a hobby I love to do. I also have a lot of information on the sport, and if I can share that information with some beginner players it might make them more interested with playing paintball. Paintball these days is a bigger sport out west and is becoming more popular out in the Midwest and on the east coast. If I can get one player interested in the sport I would feel like I am doing a good job. I would like paintball to be a common sport like football, baseball, hockey, and even basketball.
This is a little summary of what is going on with the website these days. So don’t freak if you think someone broke in my website and change it. They is going to be a method to the madness.
